This is one of the greatest tablecloths I've ever seen!

This tablecloth was originally a single color printed tablecloth. You can still see the blue along the rivers. It is a rare or hard to find cartoon souvenir of Arizona designed by Reg Manning. He was a cartoonist and illustrator for the Arizona Republic and was syndicated across the country until 1971. Manning was best known for his cactus illustrations and signed much of his work with a cactus with a big nose. You can see it next to the title and signature. This tablecloth is dated 1943. It is embroidered from end to end and signed by Mary W. Dillon in 1945. The embroidery is totally intact. The outer borders are embroidered in variegated embroidery silk.

It arrived pretty stained and I tried soaking in Woolite but that didn't really work. With a lot of trepidation I ended up soaking it in Biz. Nearly all of the staining is gone. There is vague staining barely visible on the table. a couple of pindot spots in the middle and a laundry stamp on a hem. I did not press this cloth as it needs to be pressed by somone who knows what they are doing to preserve the stitching. Also I didn't want to set the staining in case someone wanted to further restore it
