Veggies Blue Lace Vintage Tablecloth Veggies Blue Lace Vintage Tablecloth Earlier vegetable pattern perhaps created during the Victory Garden period. During World War II, the government encouraged people to grow their own food so they could send more overseas for the troops. The colors on this cloth have that pastel crayon feel to them, soft and gentle. I think the background is rustic cotton although it may have a linen component. There are a couple of solid spots in one corner bunch of veggies. I suspect it may be a paint drip. Fortunately it is hard to see in the pattern unless the tablecloth is held to the light. Size: 52 X 51 Fabric Content: Midweight rustic cotton which may have a linen component Dye Condition: Gently faded and I think the colors were soft to begin with Holes/Tears: None Stains: A couple of small solid spots out in the corner veggies will never be seen.
