Leacock Kate Greenaway Flowers on Gray Vintage Tablecloth Leacock Kate Greenaway Flowers on Gray Vintage Tablecloth Beautiful flowers on silver gray. The pattern name is Language of Flowers and it was produced by Leacock in 1946 as part of the Kate Greenaway series to commemorate her 1846 birth. This is my favorite Kate Greenaway cloth and is based on her book "Language of Flowers" published in 1884. This tablecloth is pictured on page 38 of "Collectible Tablecloths" by Erin Henderson and Yvonne Barineau. It has some mild condition problems. Some light staining here and there that is not obvious, some areas of lightly mottled dye, some small dye skips and I found one tiny pinhole. It still shows really well though and I'd be happy to use it in my home. Size: 52 X 50 Fabric Content: Cotton/rayon blend Dye Condition: Has been washed but is still bright. There is some light mottling in one corner area, it wouldn't show up in pictures. Finally there are several small quarter inch areas where the dye skipped during printing. Holes/Tears: One tiny pinhole which I found and couldn't find again. Stains: Light yellow staining here and there. Very hard to see on the gray background Hems/Selvedges: Good | |
