Black Peonies on Yellow MWT Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is a bold statement! Black gray and green peonies on a golden yellow ground. It's a pretty yellow, not acidic like some. Bears the original Simtex paper label with the pattern name Peony. It is a nice weight cotton/rayon blend, not a lightweight like some Simtex cloths. There is a nobble in the middle of center field though. Underneath you can see where the printing was missed. There are also a couple of light smallish spots that hopefully will wash out. Gray with Daisies MWT Vintage Tablecloth Gray was the neutral of choice back in the years of printed tablecloths. This one maybe dates from late 40s to early 50s. It is a Simtex with the original paper label. One of the heavier weight cotton/rayon blends not the flimsy kind we tend to see from the 60s. The pattern name is Field Lace. The colors are a smoke gray with a tint of taupe, a light peachy pink and a deeper mauvey pink. There is some slight age staining along one of the folds, not noticeable and outside the border. One tiny dye skip in the gray. Red Simtex Picnic Plaid NWT Vintage Tablecloth This wonderful red and white woven plaid tablecloth has the original label from Simtex. The red is woven into the fabric instead of being printed on top. I especially love the thicker red line that acts as a border close to the edges, a touch of elegance to what may have been a utility cloth for picnics or barbeques. Michele Piccolo of Dustys Vintage Linens calls these picnic plaids and has said in the past that she thinks they are the collectibles of the future. There is some fairly dark age staining along one fold that thankfully is close to the edge. If it doesnt soak completely out, it may be on the drop anyway. There are several small light drippy type marks like the one shown. It does have a slight atticky smell that you may be able to air out if you choose not to wash the tablecloth. Terry PA Dutch NWT Vintage Tablecloth A great idea for anyone who feeds people who spill. This blue PA dutch themed tablecloth has the original paper label. It is stamped seconds. I looked over the tablecloth and the only thing I can see is a few places where the lines of terry are spaced slightly wider apart. I dont think this will affect wear. It may not even be noticeable once the cloth is washed. Wait! I found a fabric flaw and small stain as shown. Some light storage staining visible outside the pattern. The paper label shows that this is a Simtex Stevens cloth with the pattern name Koffee Klatch. It has reverse printed coffee carafes, plates, cups and strawberries for some reason.
