Fish Waves Cutter? Vintage Tablecloth Sometimes I wonder why I buy things on Ebay. This tablecloth was described as mint with tag. It had the tag alright but the rest of it is questionable. It had deep age staining which is pretty much gone. It has a noticeable fabric flaw in the center plus a few tiny flaws across the other side of the center. Yellow Sweet Williams NWOT Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth was described as mint with tag but it was obvious when I got it that it had been used, washed and the tag reattached. There is some very light staining in the center field that is hard to see on the table. It may be dye transfer. There are tiny little tufts in the weave throughout that must have been how the fabric was woven that day. It is not really noticeable. One little fabric flaw which has created a hole by an edge. The paper label is from Simtex and the pattern name is Sweet William. It is a Simtex with the original paper label. One of the heavier weight cotton/rayon blends not the flimsy kind we tend to see from the 60s. The pattern name is Field Lace. The colors are a smoke gray with a tint of taupe, a light peachy pink and a deeper mauvey pink. There is some slight age staining along one of the folds, not noticeable and outside the border. Red Simtex Picnic Plaid NWT Vintage Tablecloth This wonderful red and white woven plaid tablecloth has the original label from Simtex. The red is woven into the fabric instead of being printed on top. I especially love the thicker red line that acts as a border close to the edges, a touch of elegance to what may have been a utility cloth for picnics or barbeques. Michele Piccolo of Dustys Vintage Linens calls these picnic plaids and has said in the past that she thinks they are the collectibles of the future. There is some fairly dark age staining along one fold that thankfully is close to the edge. If it doesnt soak completely out, it may be on the drop anyway. There are several small light drippy type marks like the one shown. It does have a slight atticky smell that you may be able to air out if you choose not to wash the tablecloth. Tan Antique Store MWT Vintage Tablecloth Fun tan tablecloth with all sorts of antiques, including a cigar store indian. This has the original paper label from Simtex with the pattern name Ye Olde Store. This is heavier and more solid than most of the Simtex cotton/rayon blend cloths. A good size too.
