Leacock Flower Cages on Green Vintage Tablecloth This is another offering from the Vintage Tablecloth Home for Wayward Tablecloths. This tablecloth had the original label but it was very sad. It was brown from end to end. The worst storage staining Ive ever seen. It was so beautiful though and I admit to a weakness for Leacock designs. The name of this pattern is Florette. The original label will come along with the tablecloth. Seven million soaks later it is much better. There is a darker area in the center field that will probably not improve. I cant see it unless the tablecloth is held to the light. There is also one part outside the green border where there is some minor age staining and a couple of lines of very light tan dye transfer. On the other hand it is a great design! Green Damaged Floral NWT Vintage Tablecloth OK, this annoys me. Once again I have a tablecloth described as mint in package. I open it up and it has hugely obvious fabric faults. I hate it when that happens! Anyway, this is an unusual color for a tablecloth and maybe you could ignore the faults or cut it up and use it in projects. ARGH! Abstract Iris Napkins MWT Vintage Tablecloth I adore this tablecloth! I have a yellow cutter version on the window in my living room! Romantic CORSAGE MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth This Leacock tablecloth would be wonderful for an afternoon tea or even a wedding. It has little golden looping ribbon which looks a lot like wedding bands to me. The yellow on the napkins is a slightly different yellow from the tablecloth. The napkin edges are a lemon and the tablecloth is more of a butter. Still, I'm one of those crazy color purists. Few people will notice. There is some very slight darkening to one of the faces of the tablecloth. There is a fabric fault just inside the white border. There is a dirt mark which I think is on the back and is not visible when the tablecloth is on the table. Because of the gold dye, you should never soak this tablecloth in an Oxy product. Leacock Unused Christmas Vintage Tablecloth This Leacock Christmas tablecloth is a little different from the usual poinsettia tablecloths. It has ornaments and this great wire ribbone as well. It came to me unused in the original bag. You know how I feel about bags. They protect from dirt but over time the plastic can break down, making the tablecloth smell like vinegar and can even cause mildew. So, this tablecloth has a mild smell but no dirt or mildew. Leacock PRIMROSE NIB Vintage Tablecloth This elegant tablecloth tablecloth is in the original box with the original label and napkins. It has pretty grey flowers with black and green accents. There are three spots. One light one on the tablecloth and a couple darker on two napkins. Maybe the tablecloth was in a buffet drawer and meat juices dripped? That's what the stain looks like to me. Kate Greenaway Flowers NWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth The whole picture cloth is the closest to the real color. Sorry about the blue tint! This large yellow floral tablecloth has the original paper label showing this to be a Kate Greenaway design called The Language of Flowers. Leacock Quality Prints brought out a line of her designs in 1946 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of her birth. This tablecloth label is marked irregular. The best I can see is a couple of lighter marks in the center of the tablecloth but they are not obvious. There is some light storage staining throughout most of the tablecloth. A few dirt swipes, especially along the edge. Kate Greenaway Cornwall NWT Vintage Tablecloth This Kate Greenaway tablecloth was produced by Leacock in 1946 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the illustrator. It is shown in a different colorway on page 40 of Colorful Tablecloths by Yvonne Barineau and Erin Henderson. This is the first one I've seen in this bigger size. There is some significant age staining along quite a large amount of the hems as is shown in the fourth picture. I found two pindot stains in the center area. One eighth inch pink dye drip and a noticeable fabric fault as shown. I would be careful soaking this cloth in Oxy because it has rayon. Leda Vegetables NWT Vintage Tablecloth This vegetable tablecloth is relatively hard to find with these bright unused colors. I think it's an oldie. According to Colorful Tablecloths by Yvonne Barineau and Erin Henderson, the corresponding fruit tablecloth has fugitive dyes, so you should be very careful how you wash this, if you wash it at all. Do not use Oxy products! The pattern name is Vegetables and I have the corresponding Fruit tablecloth also. Because of the old age of the cloth and the fugitive nature of the dyes, this tablecloth is hard to find with bright dyes like this one has. Every one I've owned in the past has been damaged. There is a fair amount of storage staining. It looks like it was caught in something and has several cuts in the fabric at the points of the folds. It also has dark marks in the center area plus by an edge. Burgundy Fruit Prints NWT Vintage Tablecloth The Lido Prints and Cavalier Prints tablecloths often come with these fun loopy edges. This is a Lido Prints cotton cloth with the original paper label. Overprinting is used to create additional colors. The burgundy and yellow make a rusty color. The strawberries are blue! There is some unevenness to the solid areas plus some tiny pindot dye spots in the center area. It does have light age staining throughout. It also has a gray smudgy line as pictured. I would not use an Oxy product on this tablecloth because it has earlier handprinted smooshy dyes. Elegant Fall Linen MWT Vintage Tablecloth This classic fall linen tablecloth bears the Lindale original paper label. It has wonderful deep jewel tone colors and has a great leafy border with little diamonds composed of yellow acorns. All on a natural linen ground. The colors do not show up well in my pictures. They're much richer in person. This would be a wonderful tablecloth to use for a Thanksgiving feast. Nothing says fall like natural linen! However, I bought it because I am building an archive of these prints that Mambro produced from original prints by other manufacturers. I think this was originally a Parisian Prints pattern. The Mambro versions are often thinner however the printing is nice. The printing is blocky and simple, limited to the four colors of cornflower blue, pink, red and green. It is printed on that wider woven cotton that sort of looks like linen but softer. Funky Fruit Bowls MWT Vintage Tablecloth Marlene Linens makes some of the best repeating array style tablecloths. This one is called Fancy Fruit. Many are confused with Wilendur even though they are often printed on textured cotton which I dont think Wilendur ever used. This one is printed on smooth midweight cotton. Has the best bright crayony colors and wonderful funky design! Does have some light age staining along some of the folds but it looks to me like it is likely to soak out.
