Fine Food Linen Vintage Tablecloth I dont think this tablecloth has been washed but it may have been used. The colors are bright and beautiful with mostly pink, celery green and tan. This is one of my favorite prints and I have it in my personal collection (this one is nicer though). When the tablecloth is folded you can see some minor variation in edge color but that is not obvious on the table. There are a couple of pen marks near a selvedge. They are outside the print so hopefully wont cause a problem. Between the inner and outer border there is a quarter inch cream spot that looks like paint. I included pictures of three other marks that are very light. One gray smudge and a couple of very light marks the same color as the paint.

Elegant Fall Linen MWT Vintage Tablecloth This classic fall linen tablecloth bears the Lindale original paper label. It has wonderful deep jewel tone colors and has a great leafy border with little diamonds composed of yellow acorns. All on a natural linen ground. The colors do not show up well in my pictures. They're much richer in person. This would be a wonderful tablecloth to use for a Thanksgiving feast. Nothing says fall like natural linen! It's plain enough to go with all sorts of different fall colored dishes and glassware. I can't find a thing wrong with this lovely tablecloth.

Goodchild Cowboy MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth I have held onto this tablecloth for a while because I dont know anything about it. It is signed Goodchild and the label says it is hand printed in California. There is a Goodchild Ranch in Santa Barbara but I dont know if this tablecloth came from there. It feels like Cactus Cloth. There are four matching napkins. There is one light gray smudgy mark on the tablecloth as pictured.

Burgundy Gray Feathers Vintage Tablecloth This unusual print is a heavy rayon tablecloth. Very drapey. It has big gray feathers on a blue gray and burgundy background. The colors are deep and color retention is a hallmark of these rayon cloths. The downside to rayon is that it needs very gentle care with no Oxy. It is especially fragile when wet. There are a few small light yellow stains that are hard to see in the pattern so I left them alone.

Harwood Steiger Unfinished Vintage Tablecloth What a great piece of history this fabric is! A tablecloth with unfinished edges which comes with the original pamphlet from the Harwood Steiger studio. According to the pamphlet, Harwood Steiger moved to his Tubac AZ studio in 1956 and enlarged them three times before this undated pamphlet was produced. I would suspect this fabric piece dates to the 1960s. As previously mentioned, two edges are unfinished. There is one small light spot near an edge. The pamphlet is bent and torn in one place. I am not sure what the fabric is? Some kind of rustic unbleached cotton/linen blend? It reminds me of cactus cloth but isnt as stiff.

Broderie Couples Courting Vintage Tablecloth Hmm. I keep buying this tablecloth because I like it! It has couples in Gay 90s clothes rollerskating and riding in carriages. I like to think of them courting, although if they were courting in 1890, they probably wouldnt be alone. The color combination is unusual with yellow, brown and jadite green. I found a few tiny spots but nothing obvious at all.

Kitschy Map A Trip Vintage Tablecloth Some times I cant believe the things people give up! This cool tablecloth has someones trip plan embroidered on it. There are golf clubs even! It was icky so I gently washed it in a free detergent. I didnt use a stain remover because I dont know about the fabric content of the embellishments. There are a few stains left. Most notably a few nickel sized light ones in the legend box and one corner is stained. It is still a really great tablecloth!

Unusual Two Color Mexican Vintage Tablecloth I don't usually buy a lot of Mexican cloths but I just loved this one. From the simple two color design, I would suspect a late 30s, early 40s date. The fabric is a lighterweight cotton but heavier than sheeting. The pattern is gently faded and there are some light stains as described below.

Rare Leacock Whimsical NWT Vintage Tablecloth This is the only tablecloth I have ever seen in this pattern. The pattern name is Crinoline and it is similar to the Hearts and Flowers pattern with the boy and girl in love. Here there are people out for their daily consitutional. The most unusual thing about this pattern is that it is almost abstract. It almost looks like a color is missing from the design but I dont think there is. This tablecloth is printed on sheeting weight cotton. That may be why it is rare. The pattern is clustered in the center which is really unusual. The downside is that there is fairly extensive storage staining in one quarter of the tablecloth.

Bright Unused Mexican Vintage Tablecloth I'm not sure what the fabric is of this tablecloth. It might be an unbleached linen. I dont think its a cactus cloth because those look different when theyre unwashed. The primary colors are bright and I dont think it has been used or washed. There are a few tiny stray dye spots that do not detract. Theyre common on these earlier hand printed tablecloths. There are a couple of little marks in the corner as pictured.

Old Virginia State Souvenir Vintage Tablecloth Another in my drive to clear out my stash. This linen tablecloth has old houses and magnolia blossoms on gray linen. The magnolia is weird because the state flower and tree are dogwood. Some poetic licence I guess. The cloth is not perfect. It has a few small rust colored stains. It also has a few light areas of pink dye transfer which are visible on the table. I did not try to remove them. Often when I do something like that, I end up completely ruining the tablecloth.

Bright Gay 90s Kasha NWT Vintage Tablecloth This is perhaps the favorite Simtex Kasha Cloth tablecloth. It is called Gay 90s and has men and women talking on the phone, playing croquet and out for a drive. The colors are nice and bright and printed on the gray kasha cloth. Simtex designed the kasha cloth fabric to copy actual kasha which is a variegated flannel. The only problem is some light yellow staining to the folds which is visible when the tablecloth is held to the light. I also found one quarter inch tan spot when folding the tablecloth. I love the dog!

Southern Belle at the Well Vintage Tablecloth This looks like a hand printed 1930s tablecloth to me with the simple two color design. There are a couple of places where the printing is imperfect, owing to the nature of hand printing. I soaked this cloth and now it is clean. The only defects I can find is that a couple of the corners are undone about a quarter to a third of an inch. Plus there are a couple of tiny rust colored spots.

What else would you need in a Florida tablecloth? There is some light staining here and there throughout. It looks like storage staining and hopefully would come out with a careful soak. There are some tiny dye spots outside the design.

Startex Primary Plaid Vintage Tablecloth I have a friend who travels a lot for her linen sales. She told me last year that she believes plaid tablecloths are the next up and coming trend. I think that might be true because for those of us who have floral dishes, it's harder for them to work with floral tablecloths. Plus the bold plaids work well with some of the solid china like Fiesta and the Russel Wright designs. As my 11 yo says,

Hawaii Pre-Statehood Coat of Arms Vintage Tablecloth? I don't really know much about this. This tablecloth depicts the coat of arms of Hawaii prior to it becoming a state. Even the fabric is unusual. It feels sort of like burlap or unbleached linen on top but the underneath is fluffy and soft. I don't think this cloth has ever been washed and there is some age staining. I wonder if it might be a cloth for a podium? Somebody said a banner, but there's not sleeve for a hanger. Someone else suggested a funeral cloth? There is some age staining but since I don't think this has been washed, I didn't wash it. There is also a light line that looks like dye but its not very obvious.

Farm Fun Linen MWT Vintage Tablecloth Another wonderful linen tablecloth from a great manufacturer known for quality linen. Hardycraft is best known for the tablecloth with the purple pansies and purple overlocked edge. They printed on premium Belgian linen. This tablecloth is a fun look at farm life with little vignettes scattered across the cloth. There are cows, geese, wonderful houses and covered bridges. The colors are gold, teal, royal and black all on an unbleached linen background. The name of the tablecloth is Down East and I can certainly see why. It reminds me of fall in Vermont. It has great gold overstitched edging.

It has great flower bowls around the inner border and people and burros around the outer border. I soaked the tablecloth because it had a cluster of light yellow stains as shown in a picture. They did not come out. There are also a few fluffy blue bits stuck to the cloth that come off when you scrape them. I've noticed this before on other tablecloths that have been mangle pressed. Turquoise PA Dutch Colonial MWT Vintage Tablecloth This bright Sun Glo tablecloth retains its original paper labels including a pricetag for $1.99 from G Fox & Co in Hartford, Connecticutt. The pattern name is Penn Dutch. The colors are turquoise, scarlett, mustard and olive with black details. I did see a couple of pindot sized spots that look dark gray. Maybe dye spots, although there is no gray in the pattern. There may be some very, very slight age staining on the label face, I couldn't decide. The label was held onto both sides of the cloth to prevent it being opened in the store I guess. There are two tiny holes on each side that I think are just threads squished over and they'll be fine once the tablecloth is washed.

Tom Lamb is known to textile collectors as the designer of whimsical childrens' hankies and the great Pageant of the States design for the 1939 World's Fair. I have found tablecloths, scarves, hankies and a book with that design. Tom Lamb also designed a line of tablecloths for Garden State and this is the second one I've found. Both the tablecloth and the napkins have some light storage staining as I've tried to show in the pictures. I can't get it to show up. Colonial Stuff Windows Vintage Tablecloth During the 1950s, people were crazy for tablecloths with things printed on them. Particularly colonial themes. This one is nice and bright with pretty clocks and eagles shown in windows on a brick border. This is a cotton rayon blend and by the bright colors and the feel, it seems to have a higher rayon content. Rayon helps to keep the color bright but it's weaker when wet than cotton is. I would wash this gently and enjoy it's fun and funky pictures.

This is another out of my own collection that is time to move on to a new home. It is an unusual shape, long and skinny, perhaps to fit a picnic table? You could use it as a runner on top of a white damask. The tablecloth is a little faded. The face of the Grandpa at one end is more faded than the rest.
