Tammis Keefe Barbeque Vintage Tablecloth Another favorite Tammis Keefe design for your BBQ party! Somewhat hard to find. Great red and black pigs, chickens and barbeque implements on a wide gray plaid. The colors are gently faded and there is one tiny pinhole in the center. No stains other than a couple of small gray marks on the corners that have come from the laundry marker stamp. HTF Marion Dorn Drums Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful design from Marion V Dorn, one of the most important female midcentury textile designers. She designed in England prior to the 1940s but moved to the US and designed for Simtex among others. This drum design reminds me of the Luther Travis patterns for Fallani and Cohn but I cant find anything that says she designed for them. It is not perfect unfortunately. It is somewhat faded, has a small hole and several stains that did not come out in an oxy soak. Still, it is a hard to find cloth from an important early 20th century designer. Rare Victory Garden Gardening Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is hard to find. It was printed on sheeting weight cotton and I think many of them just wore out. I think this is likely a war era tablecloth made to encourage people to plant their own vegetables. I am only parting with it because I have a damaged one in burgundy. These are the only two tablecloths of this pattern that I have been able to find. The only issue I can find is a gentle fade. This tablecloth has been reproduced by Moda but this is guaranteed to be an original with two hems and two selvedges. 60s Pink Dishes MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth Sorry about the blue pictures, the camera is picking up a reflection from my walls again! This tablecloth has an unusual feel. I think it is a cotton/rayon blend but with a wider weave than most vintage tablecloths. It has an overlock edge and that always says 60s to me. There used to be six napkins but now there are only five. It has a slight smell from being in a bag for decades but that should wash out the first wash. There are some pinmarks but no broken threads, just pushed away. Those should also disappear with the first wash. Size: 70 X 52 (per label) Fabric Content: Midweight cotton/rayon blend? CAHP Silver Wheat Unwashed Vintage Tablecloth Pretty and unusual pattern with wheat and circlets printed in tan and silver on gray. Has the original sewn in tag. Printed on the traditional California Hand Prints rayon cotton faille. There is some slight age staining, mostly outside the border that I did not try to remove because the tablecloth has not been washed. Do not use Oxy on this tablecloth with the silver dye. There is a visible fabric flaw that looks like a slim gray line as pictured. Deer and Trees Vintage Tablecloth The deer on this tablecloth are very cute! It would be great year round but especially wonderful at Christmas. This tablecloth appears to be block printed on a rustic cotton. There are visible fabric slubs including one in the middle. Not one for the fussy tablecloth collector. A very sweet linen with a pink bar and wheelbarrows in pink, blue and olive on a cream background. Given the linen and the olive, I would date this to the 1960s. Rare Damaged Springmaid Vintage Tablecloth According to Pam Glasell in Collectors Guide to Vintage tablecloths, this tablecloth was given to Springmaid employees as a Christmas present. Heavy Linen Pottery MWT Vintage Tablecloth This is probably the heaviest linen cloth I have ever felt. It seems like a burlap weave but lighter than the usual 60s burlap tablecloths. It is a nice cream. The colors are muted and pretty. The label is with the cloth but no longer attached. It is a Victory Hand Prints cloth with the pattern name Still Life. The tablecloth has a slight vinegar smell which might mean that it was stored in a plastic bag that was starting to degrade. I think the smell should dissipate when washed. Fun Mexican Serenade MWT Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth has the original paper label from House Beautiful. I think it is the first time I have seen the label! Although a smaller cloth, it is very bright and very detailed. The artwork is superb! There are a few dirty spots but they are not obvious in the busy pattern. Two small dirty spots in the center area plus some dirt along a fold that runs through the center area. Some light spots near the edges. HTF Kitschy Meal Menu Vintage Tablecloth This is another hard to find tablecloth. This is only the second or third I have seen. This may be a Broderie or a Broderie influence from the look of the china. I expecially like the desssert pictures on the tea section. I have a damaged blue linen version of this cloth in my own collection. There is some light yellow staining in the center area. It is visible but not obvious. Size: 47 X 45 Fabric Content: Midweight textured cotton Dye Condition: Good Holes/Tears: None Stains: Several light yellow stains in the center area that did not soak out. Florida Hotel Souvenir Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth is a souvenir from Kloeppel hotel chain in Florida. The Kloeppel hotels were high end hotels in West Palm Beach and Jacksonville. The tablecloth is wonderful and stark. From the design, I would suspect an early date, maybe early 1940s. It has three colors and shows fishing, swimming and sailing amongst other activities. There are great palm trees in each corner. I found one light yellow stain but no other damage. I did not try to remove it. Broderie Early Mexican Vintage Tablecloth I am convinced this is an early Broderie because the face on the lady matches the early version of the maid and scotty tablecloth. Also it is printed on the same lightweight cotton twill as my very rare Broderie duck tablecloth. This tablecloth is very light and should be considered a collector, not a user. It is not perfect.
