Rare Cocktails on Gray Vintage Tablecloth Another from my personal collection. This amazing pattern is pretty rare. I dont remember seeing another in my decade of collecting. Cocktails and swizzle sticks! It is not perfect though. It has a big number written across one selvedge, maybe a laundry marker? A faint spot in the white between the border and center. A dirty mark on the back that is not visible on the front. Couple of worn spots that may be fabric flaws by a selvedge. Selvedge width is different from side to side. Esquire Room Cadillac Detroit Vintage Tablecloth Another rare hotel tablecloth from my personal collection. This is from the Esquire Room at the Book-Cadillac hotel in Detroit. From the glory days of the Motor City! Handsewn hems point to a handmade and therefore rare item. Does have some condition issues though. Half inch hole in the center. Light stain in the center. Chicken in a Pot Vintage Tablecloth This is the greatest chicken or rooster cloth ever! From my personal collection. I have never seen another. Now the mystery. The tablecloth was unwashed, still in the original folds but age stained. Soaked it, looks much better. However it is now gently faded. Now, there is a faded yellow spot in the center. The bigger question is where the two pinholes in the border came from. I can understand someone using it and putting it away dirty, or having it in a drawer and something dripping on it. The pinholes are more perplexing. there is a smudge mark outside the border from dirty dog feet. Sorry! HTF Fairytale 30s Linen Vintage Tablecloth Another Hard to Find tablecloth from my personal collection. Most of you know I have collected these two color 30s linens. I suspect this one is a Broderie. It has scotties, gees and bunnils. What are bunnils? A friend and I made up the name for these animals that are a cross between a rabbit and a squirrel. Tablecloth is somewhat faded. a little more than shows in the pictures. There is one stain in the border that is not obvious. The corners are bad as shown. Gay New Orleans Vintage Tablecloth Wonderful but imperfect tablecloth from New Orleans Louisiana. Has great scenes from around old NO including the Sugar Bowl, the French Market and scenes from the Mardi Gras parade. There are a few faint yellow stains and a couple of places of red dye transfer. It has a elevational map surrounded by columbines. It was filthy when it arrived. It is somewhat faded and has a couple of tiny pinholes. One corner is undone about an inch and a half. Rare Easter Lamb Coverlet Vintage Tablecloth From my personal collection, this textile is actually a childs coverlet but is sold and used as a tablecloth. I think maybe a Mary had a little lamb theme with the well and the little houses. Use it alone or layer over a larger white cotton cloth. It is a sweet design! Except for the pink lamb eyes, they are a little weird. It is a little faded. It has blotchy fading across maybe a fifth of the blue as shown. It is a little worse in person than I could get to show in the pictures. A couple of little rusty colored spots are hard to see. Use with care and love. It is not getting enough petting stashed away in my cupboard! HTF Cocktails Linen Vintage Tablecloth From my personal collection is this linen cocktail tablecloth with a sewn in Hardy Craft tag. Roosters, cherries and a lot of great drink recipes. The tablecloth is faded. It has one dime sized permanent stain (maybe glue) in the border. It is a fine linen, handkerchief weight maybe. I probably wouldnt use this cloth but it is pretty and pretty rare! I have collected 1930s two color linens since I started collecting. This is a rare pattern. The colors are great. It has some dye faults as happened on these very early cloths. CAHP Golden Wheat MWT Napkins Vintage Tablecloth Gorgeous fall wheat tablecloth from California Hand Prints. Has the original paper label and the pattern name Golden Wheat. There is slight age staining over a large part of the tablecloth. I compared the napkins and didnt think they matched because they were more gray. They do match the center of the tablecloth though. I think a nice Oxy soak would make this a whole new tablecloth and the background will end up on the grayer side of taupe. Wheat is golden yellow and green on a gray border. Awesome pattern! Rare Wedding Wishes Vintage Tablecloth As promised, I am starting to share my personal collection. My cupboard is overflowing and these beauties are not getting the petting they deserve. This is a very hard to find tablecloth. I do not use the word rare lightly. I have only seen it a couple of times in the 10 years I have been collecting. Rare CAHP Fishing Vintage Tablecloth This is one of the most rare California Hand Prints tablecloths. It has a fisherman fishing in a stream with fish, baskets, lures and a creel. It was reproduced by Moda but the repro looks nothing like this! Tan with bright colors, this tablecloth looks great. Sewn in CAHP tag. There is a very mild fade with three small areas in the pink border where the dye is uneven. There are two tiny pinholes by a creel in the corner. Awesome tablecloth! It has pictures of what appear to be Roy Rogers, Trigger and Dale Evans. I dont know if this was an officially licensed design. The cloth is in great condition! San Antonio Texas Sights Vintage Tablecloth This tablecloth has sights from around San Antonio Texas. I'm not sure whether it is a souvenir from the main Plaza in town or one of the hotels. The colors are nice but it has pairs of little holes here and there throughout. Looks like it was folded at one time and something ate through or cut through many layers. Very strange. A couple of laundry markers on the back are barely visible on the front. I have so many tablecloths in the house it is time to thin out my collection.
